Since I use a simmer pot all during the fall/winter months to scent my home, I like to use fresh spices and herbs to achieve the right notes. I was looking for substitutes for fresh citrus and saw this and thought it just might do the trick. Since receiving my order I have found that it does indeed do the job. However I have to use a bit more of the lemon peel than I do the orange. Now I can keep the fresh produce to eat and use these for my simmer pot recipes!
