It's Delish Citric Acid

Great for multi-purpose use. Citric acid is found naturally in several fruits and berries, It is produced by cells during the Krebs cycle. The acid gets its name from the citrus fruit family, which includes lemons, limes, oranges, tangerines, and grapefruits. Citrus fruits, especially the more sour ones like lemons and limes, owe their sharp taste to citric acid.

Commonly use added to many foods and beverages as a preservative or for flavor. It has a tart taste and is also known as sour salt. Many of our customers use our citric acid to clean dishwashers and dishes, or a variety of other industries, such as personal care, agricultural, food, pharmaceutical, and electroplating industries

Better than most chemical cleaners

In the past I was maintaining the shower walls and glass doors with "CLR", which required repeated application and eventually, a use of detergents to remove the residue left behind (VERY slippery!). This time I mixed a solution of Citric Acid and water in a spray bottle, applied it twice in a half-hour period and rinsed it off. This process not only took much less time it also did a BETTER JOB of removing the hard water deposits. This method left no slippery residue either. Next, I used 2 tablespoons of Citric Acid in the soap dispenser of our automatic dishwasher and sprinkled another tablespoon of it on the inside (dish area). I ran it through one (normal) cycle and when it was done, I was astonished at how clean it became! The sprayer nozzles were open again, the filter screens had trapped a large amount of "calcium/lime" deposits that had broken off and it smelled so much better! I performed the cleaning once more, just for good measure (and still saw more debris in the filters). I may incorporate this cleaning in my once-a-month home maintenance schedule. I'm very happy I came across using Citric Acid in an article titled "Everyday Cheapskate" by Mary Hunt. I intend to re-read her many articles to see if there are more ways I can use it. I'm also very happy for It's Delish for offering Citric Acid in various sizes and for their fast shipping!
