United StatesDefective Candy, Bad Customer Service
It's been a very bad overall experience. Lack of communication and no resolution. This was an intro/test order for future business. DO NOT buy DELISH Taffy candy. It can be rancid, or old hard taffy. I recently ordered 4 different 1 lb. flavors. The order consisted of the following defective taffy candy. 1 lb. bag of Vanilla Caramel taffy chews - it is rancid 1 lb. bag each of Yellow Mango and Cotton Soft taffy chews - both are hard, dry and not chewy as taffy should be. 1 lb. bag of Grape Taffy chews - Was Back Ordered (Immediately informed Delish to cancel order, I didn't trust it to be any better.) Upon receipt of the order I opened the bags to test the candy, and immediately called Delish to report the problem and ask how to resolve the problem of defective candy. I called the listed phone number numerous times; they don't answer or return calls. I emailed 5 times and eventually received a reply. Their response only states that I can't return the candy because I opened the bags. Nothing about resolving the problem or reimbursing the price of the candy. I asked how Delish can tell the candy is defective to reimburse the money if I don't return their defective product. Still waiting for their answer. (Or, is it a scam?) I am waiting for their response about reimbursement that should have been mentioned in their email. Delish does not know if I was a potential retail customer or not. Their bad service certainly does not encourage future business relations.
