For a few orders, I LOVED this company and the Baked Beans! Then all of a sudden, the price went from $13.99 to $36.99 for 5 lbs., with no explanation. I called before ordering, and the person I spoke with told me that they didn't have information as to why the instant price increase. They run the company, but they don't know? I followed up with an email to the company, explaining why I was no longer going to order, stating that I could no longer afford them. I never got a response by phone, or by email. It saddens me, because I thought I had found the best product at the best price. Since this incident, I have ordered from two other companies, both at a cheaper price, including shipping to my door. The 2 stars is for the price increase, the lack of explanation and failure to care enough to respond. Otherwise, the product would get 5 stars.
